Time with friends - three days a week.

I went back to work at the beginning of December after a marvelous 6 month maternity leave!  The first days were the VERY trying and I still miss him every single day.  Thankfully I am only working Monday, Tuesday, and Wednesday.  During the month of December, Grandma Langan came to our home to watch Troy.  We are thankful that she was able to spend this precious time with Troy and it was very comforting to know he was being cared by a loved one.  She would send us pictures of Troy throughout the day to let us know how he was doing.

After the holidays, Troy was going to need to be cared for outside of our home.  He was at first signed up for "school", but at the last minute we pulled the plug and found a WONDERFUL alternative.  At the beginning of January Troy started going to Catharine's house and spending the day with her two children.  Elowyn is 10 months and Rannoch is 3 years old.  I love that he has personal care, a quiet place to sleep, a few friends to socialize with, and  loving home to visit.  It is the peace of mind I needed in order to leave him a few days a week.  Below are some pictures of his time with his new friends!

New Experiences and Nifty Things!

Every week, heck everyday, brings about new changes with Troy.  We've enjoyed experiencing all of his discoveries and each month seems to get better and better. Here are some novelties from this past month.

Loves playing in the laundry basket!

First time in a restaurant highchair!  Such a big boy!

Loves the mesh feeder with fresh fruit!  We've tried pears, bananas, and apples in here.

Holiday Pictures that are TOO cute not to share :)

Troy's first Christmas was quite the event.  Although he wasn't aware of our reason for celebrating (or even that we were celebrating), he received many gifts of love.  It was nice for the three of us to wake up in our own home and spend Christmas morning together.  Paper and bows were favorites.  We baked a birthday cake for Jesus, read The Night Before Christmas, and spent quality time with family all week long.  Matt and I are so incredibly thankful for our blessings.

Here are some pictures from the season:
